It's a great known fact that street collectors have a tough job in general so when we decided to organise another charity collection day, we were very pleased when Leeds city council granted us free run of the city centre allowing the girls from this years Miss Leeds Final to strut their stuff and get the collection tins from The Haven jangling.
The day was once again a great success and all the girls did a fantastic job in speaking to members of the public, building awareness and getting as much 'spare change' as possible to kick start this years fund raising activities for our chosen supported charity.
The finalists exceeded last years efforts and raised an amazing
£1165 in just a few hours out and about. Thank you to anyone who was out in town on Saturday and was kind enough to drop some much needed pennies into the collection jars.
