After an intensive audition process, we are delighted to announce the finalists for Miss Leeds 2011.
Candidates were assessed on presentation, confidence and ultimately their suitability for representing Leeds at the Miss England Final, and to be an ambassador for the city over the coming year.
The girls were asked about their interests, hobbies, activities, achievements, aspirations, educational background, career prospects, charity work and what they think they could bring the role of Miss Leeds.
The following girls were selected as finalists from hundreds of applicants and will be put through their paces at the Miss Leeds Grand Final on Thursday 26 May, where the winner will be crowned and sent to the Miss England final, with a chance of representing England at this year's Miss World contest!

Francesca Evans
"I chose to continue my education at the University of Leeds, as I love the wide range of opportunities this city has to offer. As a baby I benefited from the amazing Children’s Heart Surgery team and so I ‘whole-heartedly’ support the campaign to keep this unit in our city. If I were fortunate to win Miss Leeds, I would be a great role model to young people, as I have never let health, or any other issues hold me back in life. I would promote the importance of aiming high, enjoying life and being the best person that you can be. I feel it is essential to encourage young people to be positive about themselves, stay safe, yet live life to the full."
